It's about $11K for private school here in Maryland. Our public schools are pretty good, but the average 6th grade class is 30-35 kids. We thought it was worth the $11k for my son to be in a class of 20 and get more of the individual attention he needs. But I have friends with kids in the public schools and they do well; in this case it was just a better fit for my son's needs.
