It's a banned supplement, not an illegal supplement.

Many over the counter supplements have ingredients that are on the banned list for college and pro athletes.

No just stop. None of those supplements are FDA approved. They are not required approval by an act of congress. They can put anything they like in them.

For the record, OTC supplements are not regulated by the FDA. That's why you can buy so much worthless BS OTC that has absolutely no scientific data to back up the claims of the manufacturers. In many ways, it's akin to the old "snake oil" salesmen.

Knowing that, some of the OTC weight gain/muscle enhancers may indeed have some weak metabolites of compounds that are banned by the NCAA.

Without knowing exactly what he took, it's impossible to know if he purposely cheated or if he was just naive. Either way, it falls on his and/or Florida's shoulders, as it would for any of our players who did the same thing.

.I don't believe he knowingly took a PED

My little brother played college baseball. Their athletic dept gave them a list of stuff they could take. That was a tiny school especially when compared to the University of Florida.

Only way I've found to but the stuff "OTC" is online where the bottle has ligandrol plastered across it. He had to know what it was to go looking for it.

my ignorance was based upon the days I had to take random PED tests by the NCAA. Those days, no one handed out lists of substances not to take, but the supplements back then were no where near what they are today.
