Such a simply thing I know but I can't figure out how to post in a thread. I'm on multiple automotive forums but TD is set up differently. I see the "reply" button under everyone else's post but how do I post just a general statement or question when I don't need to reply to someone else?

Reply to the OP would be my guess. Sometimes if you reply to someone else in the thread, they take offense for some stupid reason. "Why are you asking me, I don't know" Stupid stuff like that

I know to hit "reply", but how do you quote somebody's post you are replying to?

Highlight the text you wish to quote, then click the "quote" button to the right of the text box.

If you are on mobile, I find it easier to highlight the text I wish to quote, select "copy," then click the "quote" button to the right of the text entry box, "paste" the phrase into the box that pops up, and hit OK.

I initially had the same problems as the OP when joining and reading/responding on tigerdroppings.

But I have come to love the layout and simplicity.

Every other message board is bogged down by so many options that are in the way and rarely used.

TD makes it easier with less clicking and more just saying what you mean and getting it out there.

Then you should be posting to that person.
