If he's going for the kicks and college $$ Infantry is great.
If he wants immediate job opportunity after one enlistment he needs to find something else.

All this. I had several enlisted Marines take advantage of their Intel background and top secret clearance, landed nice jobs out. If he wants Infantry, then that's fine, but talk to him about the Post 9/11 GI bill and ensure he uses it.
