No. Preventing the offense from possessing the ball in their endzone is what happens on every play, and the defense isn't awarded the ball. It's called a tackle. There is, however, a special play where possession changes. This happens when the offense drops the ball and the defense picks it up. This is called a "fumble recovery". Perhaps you've heard of it.
