Broad River is scary close to the bridge.
This is truly a once in a lifetime thing for Columbia. It is amazing. They are opening the spillway on Lake Murray for the first time since 1969.

just drove over the gervais street bridge from west columbia towards the vista, the water was pretty close to the bridge and apparently it's only going to get higher
the water might take over blossom street bridge by riverside
