Maybe some of you baseball followers can tell me how a mostly academic university like Vanderbilt without near the fan base like LSU can constantly get the best pitchers and players.And Vanderbilt's rise has happened on PM's watch.

What's funny is Virginia was the poster program for postseason choke jobs, but they luck into one title and now people want their coach.

You answered your own question. Their education is stellar and extremely expensive (valuable). Thus a Vandy scholly is worth so much more than an LSU scholly. That dollar value is significant to a mom and dad helping to guide their son.
