The 3 year rule is not the problem, people like this are the problem.
Clearly this guy thinks money is the only important part of football.

It's a way bigger factor than most here want to admit. Every year we talk about how some of these players will come back because of how much they love the school, and they probably do, but the money that is waiting for them that could help their families is just too much to pass up.

There is a lot of football to be played yet this season. LF hasn't won the Heisman, LF hasn't rushed for over 10000 yards this season (that may not be true Sunday morning), he's still got a lot left to prove this year. Don't get ahead of yourself.
