What's up with the names? I never said you were a "negatiger" or any of that shite. My point is that the offense is ruuning along pretty well right now, regardless of the QB's stats.

I dont know what to call anyone on here anymore.

I assumed it meant those that were up in arms over passing game concerns. I didn't mean it as an insult.

There was no way that Les was going to start chucking the ball all over the field against MSU with it being Harris' first game of the year, on the road, against a good D.

I didn't expect him to "chuck it all over the field". There's a difference between just trying to throw it, and throwing it in a favorable situation, at a favorable time to a receiver with an advantage.

Its not like Harris wasn't throwing it all Spring and Fall, and we know these boys practice on their own over the summer. So why didn't any of that practice get taken into consideration?

Either way, its fair on Moo St. game, and I wasn't concerned with that game, and if it wasn't for the history of Les Miles offensive game plans, I wouldn't be concerned this season either.

Look back to 2011 with Jarrett Lee and all the opportunities Les had to give him reps/practice/experience to build confidence, and he never ever let him loose even if they were up 30+ in the 2nd quarter. What is the risk in letting him throw it around to get in game experience for future games?

We will see what Les does against Eastern Michigan. I have great confidence that he will do exactly as he has done this season (80% run, 20% pass), and Harris will not be allowed to develop any fluidity in his dropbacks and timing with the WR's.

The running backs we know can run, we know we can run block, but why neglect developing a pass blocking ability? Its like choosing not to help yourself.

If the OL could gain more confidence w/ pass blocking, and Harris more confidence passing, then he can make quicker reads and get throws out quicker, thus eliminating the OL's need for extensive pass blocking. Its all related.

Pass blocking requires that the OL maintain his spot and contain his man.

Run blocking requires a huge push forward in one motion, and when the RB is gone by, then his job is done for that play.

Our OL need more practice at containing guys. If you continue to run run run for 20 straight plays, then expect them to adjust back for contain blocking assignments that need 10 secs worth of blocking for a play to develop, its going to cause issues no matter how good the OL is for the most part.

Notice we either run long arse routes, or screen pass, or its a running play.

So either the OL are having a quick burst push for 3 seconds and plays over, or they're having to contain block for a really long time.

Basically we go from one blocking extreme (quick thrust for run block) to the next (long containment block for pass).

Who knows maybe our OL have terrible feet (lateral movements) and they're weak with pass blocking, but they're great at forward pushes for run blocking.
