You don't just run a "some wishbone". If you run wishbone, you have to run it pretty much all the time. That being said it was figured out back in the day and became obsolete. It's honestly not hard to prepare for. With the advancements that multiple angle films bring making reads has become much easier to teach.

Three backs behind a running QB a few times a game might could work. I think it would be better than the Wildcat if run well. Where the ball is going with 4 fast runners might be maddening for a defense a few times a game.
