Disagree. We have learned a LOT more about concussions and their cumulative effects. It is good to protect from head shots in this type of circumstance.
AU had a player that was ejected in the game before the LSU one (1st half, so could play against LSU)
It was the one that hit Jeter and knocked the wind out of him.
As Gary said...the defender learned his lesson, put a huge hit on the receiver, but the "injury" was breath knocked out...not concussion.
It is fair and it is taught. Jones will learn that next time, he'll drop lower and hit the QB in the sternum and not the head.
It wasn't malicious. But, it was the correct call. I don't need to see college kids getting hit in the head to be entertained.
