Auburn hadn't fared well vs miles and haven't won in TS this millennium. They gave us one n 05 I believe. The FG game. But miles could just as easily be 3-7 not 7-3. Always close. It was at JH but they about derailed our season with a winless team (conf play) in 2011 I think. It's not mystery to anyone who's played sports at the HS level all the way to NFL that any team can play down to inferior opponents sometimes. I've experienced it and if anyone who reads this has played they know all about it. Many teams are better than ppl think as well. At the end of the day auburn coming to Death Valley to play Lsu is gonna motivate auburn a little more than nobody state. Different team will show up Saturday.

Could also just as easily been 9-1 as well, let's not do this.

Since 2009, 4 of the last 6 matches have been won by at least 14 points, and half, 21 points.

It was 2012, but that showed us the problems we had that year in the passing game, and blocking. It was the start of Mett's 4 game SEC stretch, where he completed less than 56% of his passes and completed less than 45% the last 3 games of that stretch. He averaged 46.2%, 143 yards, and 5.39 ypa with 1 TD and 2 ints over that 4 game span. They had the bye week, figured some stuff out, and then the passing game was much better the rest of the regular season.

I just can't see Harris playing that badly. He isn't a stone in the pocket like Mett, he has actually had quality QB coaching 2 offseasons straight, he has talented and experienced pass catchers for days, and from his comments of checking out of pass plays, he's not near the gunslinger either.

Yeah playing down to an inferior opponent I get, but do you understand just how bad they've played not 1 week, but 2 weeks in a row? You don't just play down to your competition both games out of the gate. That's the stuff that happens after you've gotten a few games into the year. Happening this early usually signifies that something is really wrong. Something is wrong with that team. Houston beat Louisville, and Auburn looked awful against an FCS team. LSU has had off games against FCS teams, but still beat them by 2 TDs or more. I think people are trying to baby their situation. Had this been LSU, it would have been some crazy doom and gloom shite.

Using that logic, is Miss St not one of those teams? Did LSU
actually look more impressive than initially thought? If you're gonna go that route, then wouldn't beating a better than we thought Miss St team at their house game one, with no prior game to work out the kinks, with penalties galore and controversial refs, and zero passing game past early in the second quarter, make LSU even way better than they seem?

And will it not also motivate LSU to do more? I mean Auburn is the team that stomped a mudhole in the collective assholes of the LSU football team. Now they come to our house in a home opener. You don't think guys like Harris and Fournette, and the OL, and the entire defense isn't ready to get revenge on being embarrassed last year? Tiger Stadium could make it very bad for Jeremy Johnson.

Could be the same damn team we've seen ya know? People want to disregard those games as "playing down to competition" when in fact, maybe, juuuust maybe, Auburn sucks donkey balls. I saw no reason at all over the offseason why they should be better than last year, and now, they look worse than what I initially thought they'd be.

They'll likely correct some of what's ailing them, but I wouldn't bank on it til after their bye week.
