The way they are set up, you are paying for the right to be in a one day fantasy league. If they were to make it illegal, then year long fantasy leagues with a $20 buy-in would be illegal as well.
Also, they send you a 1099 on your winnings. You have to pay taxes like it's part of your normal income.
With those being the case, I dont see it being made illegal for a long time. The feds are getting their piece.
