He's been on the job, what, five years, and we still don't have a center back partnership?

That should be the first thing an international manager does. Build your core.

We should've long since established a pair there, be it Cameron-Ream, Cameron-Gonzales, Cameron-Besler, Cameron-Brooks, whatever.

The next thing is to continue building your spine. Put Bradley in front of those three. That gives you a defensive core that, if nothing else, you can count on to keep clean sheets or limit goal scoring chances.

Instead, we've fricking dilly-dallied with Ventura Alvarado, Michael Orozco, Maurice Edu, Jermaine Jones, and a bunch of guys who are not international caliber central defenders, and so defensively, we are shite.

I'm fine with re-tooling US Soccer. That starts from the ground up, not the top down.

Edit: He should be fired. He won't be, either.

What is really sad to me is that we have had plenty of time to experiment with every single one of these combos, however, we have not and are left without a center back pairing. We could have known which one of those combos would have served us best, and also really worked on their chemistry and gotten a very solid back four. At this point Jurgen isn't just an ineffectual manager, but he is actively holding back the team from succeeded. That is a fireable offense imo.
