I disagree but his opinion is valid and I respect it.
By "street" i think he means he has more of a gangster (which has a much more respectable meaning in British popular culture than it does in the U.S.) feel to him than bond. More of a Guy Richie protagonist than Bond

This stupid fricking theory that James Bond is just a code name needs to die. The man's actual name is Bond. In the source material, his parents had the last name Bond.
