My tutor has been on a student visa for like 15 years. Bachelor's in EE and another one in math. Master's in math and physics. Now finishing up his PhD in physics. Dude still has a 4.0 
He supports himself by tutoring kids from middle school to college. Does pretty damn well, but saves all of it for some unknown reason
