Good breakdown from Citica8. To the lower priced tier I'd add Marlin Model 7, Mossberg and Savage Axis. I'd stay away from the Remington Model 770.
Today's deer hunters have more good, yet inexpensive, guns to choose from than any other time. It's hard to go wrong a Remington Model 700, Savage Models 10/12/16, Ruger Model 77, Howa, Weatherby, Browning, etc. The main benefit will be in the specific characteristics of each gun. E.g., I don't like the feel of the Axis or Ruger American as both are to skinny for me in the rear handgrip area. Handle different models and see which ones fit you best. Decide whether you want a higed floor plate, box magazine or blind magazine; what kind of safety do you like....tang safety or wing safety? I think you get the idea.

Any real benefit other than the name?

Which brand would you suggest for my first rifle?
