I think I actually will do this if I can find the right person to email. I really want to understand.

Already did that. His name is Dr. David Baker. This was his response...

We have some plans to try to encourage Mike to enter his trailer this next season. We will try these out this summer. That’s all we can do. There is no “teaching” him, since he already knows how to get into his trailer. The issue is not lack of knowledge, but is a very natural and normal lack of desire. These are secretive, forest dwelling animals that are rarely seen by people in their natural habitat, simply because they choose not to be. It amazes me that our tigers have ever left the comfort of their night house to venture out into all the noise and chaos that is an LSU game day, other than for the reason that in the old enclosure, the tiger could be forced to do so. We cannot and will not force him to load. My concern is that if LSU fans continue to escalate this as an issue, it could have the undesirable but not unpredictable effect of causing this to be the last tiger we have. That would be a real shame.

Here is what i get out of that response... "You're never going to see another tiger in tiger stadium again so deal with it."

It's a shame we are losing such a cool tradition that sets us apart from other schools.

Just having Mike, a live Tiger, with an awesome natural habitat, sets us apart from ALL other schools. He does not need to be forced into a cage and paraded around the stadium for us to have and keep "a cool tradition".
