I had to leave. Wages were not keeping up with the actual cost of living rise. Insurance was going up exponentially. My agent explained it to me that I had to pay higher rates to cover those who refused to carry insurance.

Every time I turned around there was a new government agency with their hand out, wanting more and more for less.

Ticket quotas, or un-voted on taxes, pushed me over the edge. I got about six chicken shite tickets in a little over a month. I put my house up for sale and found a job out of state and moved.

Louisiana has good people, food, traditions, family and fishing. Most people that leave have a better life elsewhere. They are surprised how quickly they adapt to the new places they land in.

Celery, onions, and garlic can be bought everywhere. Roux smells the same.
