Back in the day I loved this place. Especially the early days when they really brought the snark when they recapped the episodes.
Towards the end, some of the folks weren't very good and did more of a straight recap.
It's been over a year since TWOP died.
Has anyone found a decent replacement?

The first season of 24 is when I really started hitting the site on a regular basis.
I found the site when I was looking up an episode of The Practice.
I loved the site but the forums were run by nazis.

Yeah. I remember it when it was MightyBig TV. It was a great site. I think what happened is that it was bought out by some corporate concern (seems like it was some type of magazine company or something).
Then the originators who were really the basic creative force behind it ended up moving on. The new owner opted to go for glitz (lots of pictures/clips and stuff) and they lost the wit and snark that made the place enjoyable.
I think it is true as someone said above that some of the moderators (who I think had actually carried over from the old to the new owners) had some substantial personality issues.

Aaron Sorkin actually incorporated one of the moderators into the West Wing. The whole Lemon Lyman subplot was basically a swipe at one of the "Nazi" moderators on the West Wing forums.

The original founders - Glark, Wing, Sarah, etc. - have a new site - Previously TV.
It has recaps and forums.
I like it a lot and it's got the same feel as old school MBTV and TWOP.
