Bingo!!
Common Core is a set of standards. Not math workbooks. Not homework. And not your kids teachers teaching method. Implantation of common core standards is at the local level. If a teacher is ineffective at teaching common core it isn't necessarily common cores fault.
The test may be a different story, but the essence of common core is needed at the federal level to be able to judge the education of American students at the world level and amongst ourselves.
