They don't have the skill set of Cooks though. He has elite speed and can burn defenses. These guys don't do that.

This is true. To counter that point, last week Cooks literally ran out of bounds with the ball in the air on a deep throw last week. He took multiple steps well out of bounds. That's not something that someone with great awareness in the passing game does.

My point isn't really about harping on that single play. It's only one play, and I'm sure he learned a lot from it. Plus, he did blow by the guy, gain separation and actually made the catch was was pretty elite.

But, if we are being honest, Cooks is a bit of a work in progress...especially as it relates to the passing game downfield. He has the tools no doubt. But, he hasn't shown the ability to consistently be a threat down the field.
