I never said he WAS a prick, just that he came off in that Real Sports with Bryant UncleTom as a really smug prick.
It'd be fun as hell to play for him though, thats for sure. Did he have the crazy strategy when you played for him?

He was still an assistant when I was at PA under Coach Norwood, who had a very Bobby Bowden type of personality. We weren't super talented but we won a lot of games just on conditioning and discipline. We could hang with teams like Shiloh Christian (who had a coach named Gus Mahlzan) for a while but eventually they would pull away. Never won state while I was there.
Coach Kelley was a very intense guy and would do anything to win. He'd chew you a new one if you messed up or didn't give 100% but he'd also be the first person to give you praise if you made a play.
