Something came up and I look to be in NYC during this time. Good event to attend? Any tips?
I play tennis often but I will be in NYC with a friend and I don't want to sign us up for something that is kind of a bust.
TIA

Pretty sure it's going to be a fun event. I wish I could attend a major

The upper deck of Ashe is an abortion. If you're there in the first week, there should be action all over and it would be a blast. Mid to late second week would only be great if you have solid stadium seats.

Yeah it's a lot of fun. You have a few options. You can get a grounds pass for about 70 or 80. That gets you in the complex and you can watch matches on any court except Ashe and Armstrong. It's great for early rounds because lots of big names can be caught on the bigger side courts. Lots of fun matches out there and you're right on the action.
You can also buy tickets to sit in the 2 main courts for either the morning or evening sessions. This gets you in the grounds so you can see the side courts and whatever big name is on that day or night on the main courts. Those tickets run anywhere from $50 in the earlier rounds to well over $100 in later rounds to sit up top. $250 and above to sit lower. If you have any other particular questions I'm happy to help if I can. It's a lot of fun if you're a tennis fan at all.

Yeah we plan to get in town the first week of it. So we should get a chance to see a lot of the action.

I'll be there a day or two. It's great. I like wandering around and checking out either the side courts or the Armstrong/grandstand coruts. The grandstand court is the best way to view a match in the entire venue. If there is a good match being played there, I definitely recommend wandering over.

I'm not a huge fan of Ashe stadium. Oh, except when I snuck in the player's lounge when I was in HS and tried to Kournikova's number but was too nervous to get out even a syllable. So, yeah, Ashe stadium peaked for me like year 2.

Any reasoanbly savvy man who believes in rulebreaking on occasion on principle sneaks down to better seats.
I can see no compelling reason why anyone would voluntarily stay seated in AShe upper deck. I mean, you need focking binoculars.

We have tickets for the day session on Sunday September 6th for Armstrong in Sec 109. Also signed up for the Chase Lounge.
Randomly set up the trip 2 weeks ago. Interested in knowing what to expect or look out for.

This Kyrgios thing has gone viral.
I think it's awesome.

Just google that. Funny. Guy sounds like Sandberg's character from that HBO show with Kit Harrington
