Congrats on the purchase OP. The best advice I can give is to go to a pistol class taught by a professional. You will learn so much basic stuff from shooting stance to cleaning your gun. Classes are relatively inexpensive and the knowledge you will acquire will be ten times what you learn from going to the range by yourself.
