In the two most dysfunctional seasons with Brees here they finished 7-9

People picking 6-10 are just being a bunch of negative bitches. Do I think they'll win a Superbowl this season? No I do not. But I assure there will be improvement. Very favorable schedule.

thats 10-6 right there by splitting with the best in our division but sweeping the bucs (they are terrible). I gave us losses to the best teams on the schedule.

look at the other teams we face. most have no QB or RB. even if we drop another game somewhere thats 9-7. that should be the floor prediction. the first 7 games are the toughest part. theres a big stretch of games against awful teams.

however, if we get destroyed week 2 at home against winston and no run game, then i will start to panic.

Exactly. With the schedule like it is, 10-6 and a division title is very doable.

One of my biggest concerns going into the seasons was the linebacker position. From reports so far we might actually have very good coverage linebackers in Anthony and Ellerbe. That's huge. We've been susceptible to teams attacking the middle of the field for years.

And Brees is now 36 years old. He has an inferior line to our best years or even ore superbowl years, significantly less experience and quite possibly talent on the outside, has lost his safety valve. Our front 7 is largely unproven. Our secondary was fricking horrific last year and outside of adding a good player in his 30s they are being complimented with complete unknowns (and we don't exactly have the best eye for drafting corners). I don't think someone is solely being a "negative bitch" if they think we could be very similar to last season or even a little worse.
