Damn when I was a kid, whenever we road tripped from indy to Louisiana, we'd stop for the night in Blytheville. Had no clue it turned out so ghetto.

They have a Zaxby's there that we hit traveling from Illinois to Lafayette. All I know about Blytheville. Sad story.

It's been my overnight place for many years when traveling between Baton Rouge and Chicago. Sorry to hear this.

My first assignment in the Air Force was Blytheville ('79-'83). It wasn't the best place then but obviously not what it is today. It had lots of old money (mostly cotton).

I'd imagine the 200 people were primarily relatives and family, I mean a gathering of 12 people's friends/family can add up fast when no in your circle has a job.
