I see. I figured any athletes that wanted to live in WCA could, as long as half of the residents were non-athletes. I don't know if there is enough room for everyone, but I figured football players got priority over tennis players, etc.

I hated being so far from the rec center, really the only downside, but not an issue for athletes.

Oh no, big no no, that is. If for no other reason, Title IX. Basically every sport has to get the same level of accommodations, men or women.

I have no idea how it is now, but it used to be that soccer and track were housed mainly in ECA, while football was in WCA.

Frankly, I don't think there is a policy anymore as to who goes where. Athletes just get to move into ECA & WCA as freshmen, whereas regular students have to wait until their sophomore year before they can apply.
