Did not go to my tenth and was thankful for that. As happens, everyone is trying to impress everyone else as being something they are not. At the time, work had me away from my wife a lot and I was more interested in spending time with her. Interestingly enough, I later found out that some had wanted me to attend hoping that my checkbook would accompany me as they overspent on the event and actually had to beg the faculty that attended for money to make up the difference. I am glad I wasn't there as that would have been a bit of an embarrassment.

I did go to my 20th and it was ok, but not earth shattering.

After that, someone tried to put together a 35th and it never got off the ground.

Our 40th would have been a couple of years ago. However, there was no interest. People are either scattered all over the country or they are residing in some graveyard.

Truly, while I enjoyed my last couple of years of high school, moving out of town and going to college changes you. When you come back home, you realize that there is a bigger world and a bigger life. Those who never left and/or never went beyond HS, well ............

Look, man, you really shouldn't belittle those who were unfortunate enough to not be able to survive the harrowing trek across the Badlands, beyond the Colossal Pillar of Wasp Eggs, and slip silently past the roving bands of cannibal-marauders. We can't all be so lucky.
