I don't.

If you get any sort of self pleasure or satisfaction out of what a good person you are then your act is not truly selfeless.

No, he is right. The person doing the selfless act actually gets a benefit from it, thus not making it selfless. The benefit is self gratitude. The feeling of doing something good is the benefit, thus making the selflessness of the act null and void. Kind of weird, but we studied it in philosophy and ethics.
