The story three acts revolve around changes in Michael character. act 1: ends with him shooting the cop. Act 2: his wife being bombed thus returning to American to replaces his dead brother and aging father. Act 3: you know how it ends

Agreed. I love The Godfather, but I've always thought Brando's portrayal of Vito Corleone was one of the more overrated performances of all time, especially when silhouetted against Pacino's Michael.
