I never taught my son to be racist. When he was really young, he asked why some people had dark skin. I told him everyone just has different colored skin. Don't remember race ever coming up aside from that

Then we move to Shreveport in second grade and he comes home and says "I hate the black kids". I was floored. He said they were mean to him. I didn't know what to say
