Has any word come out on him lately? It would sure be nice to hear that a player is doing something right and will be suiting up for LSU next season. It's very rare that the offseason brings out any good news besides a commitment here or there.

Might see the ole TM7 treatment with him. If he cleans up his act, he will be back. What people don't seem to understand is that he has had multiple chances to play football at LSU, but he has repeatedly screwed up those chances. He made his bed in this situation and he is the only one who can fix it. Truth hurts, but it is what it is.

That's what I keep hearing but with the way recruiting is going, he should probably think about transferring. I'd love him back but LSU just reloads at DB and he may have lost his chance.

wouldn't count on it. seems like the kids who have to get their act together in the classroom to become eligible again fail to do so. it should come as of little surprise, i guess. they're generally found themselves ineligible for the same reason they fail to regain eligibility. and it's really pathetic given how many advantages athletes get

he can work out all he wants, so can normal students but normal students don't play ball either. sad to see guys not make the cut grade-wise after being given all the services and advantages for student-athletes.

Absolutely not. You can never have enough good DBs.

Is there any substance to you saying this? Just because T. Valentine is history doesn't mean Robinson is going to follow suit.

Is you making that statement just a guess? Do you have some sort of knowledge you can shed?

i have knowledge that Robinson hasn't done much to show he cares about school since arriving on campus by the sheer fact he's ineligible to play and was suspended halfway through the 2013 season for being a terrible student

Pretty sure it was the failed drug tests that did him in....although it's good he's doing well in school.

Talking about what's best for him. I don't think he'd start over guys that are here.

I don't think he ever wears the uniform again. It seems we see every day there is a need to recruit character and men that want to apply themselves. The country is littered with five star athletes that have no intention of fulfilling their obligations to a university.

Off the top of my head, and assuming he doesn't return until 2016, you'd have Donte Jackson, Xavier Lewis and Kevin Toliver in their 2nd year. Paris in his 3rd. Plus we have some studs committed currently, so you can throw those in there. And RR will have been out of football for a couple years. Not saying he wouldn't play, but it would be a tough battle.

And again, I'd love for him to come back. I just think he should entertain the idea of transferring to a place he's guaranteed to start.

He might be the best CB at LSU. Not saying that nobody you else listed isn't very very good and would not be able to handle the starting position, but you named a bunch of people who haven't played very much yet. He is a proven starter.

It's a tough battle for anyone to get on the field playing DB at LSU. Hence the DBU title. But it is a battle he's faced for 2 years, and a battle he's won over everybody else.
