You bring up an excellent point as I am bias about the situation due to my former working relationship and friendship with him.
I only hope that his house was raided to obtain information about the Taylor case. To your point, if he wasn't a target, they could have very easily ask Jared to bring them the items they desire.
With that being said, you never know what people do behind closed doors.

Had they wanted evidence on another guy, they wouldn't have raided his house knowing they were gonna end his life by doing so.
The stink of child porn doesn't wash off and the Feds know that. They wouldn't have put that stink on a nationally known guy for shits and giggles.
