Nah she purposely hip checked the guy to prevent him from getting to the spot next to her. His hand is pulling on the bar to her left. Not trying to get in front of her at all.

I realize he isn't trying to get her spot. He's trying to get the one that is about to, and slowly, opening up. He doesn't wait, and pisses off the white girl as he brushes all up on her. This doesn't make him a dick. At worst, he was being an inconsiderate dick. At best he was just being impatient.

She's facing the other way. All she can feel is someone all up on her and she turns around and they share words...then he gets into the spot. Who the hell knows what they say...? They were probably rude, calling each other names. Then she puts her fist up and we have this mess.

I absolutely see the legal side of this for him and also against her. I think she should face legal action if he does. She bopped him straight in the face. That's NOT ok. And I wouldn't mind him getting off because he was hit first. But holy shite, as a much larger man, I don't think you can morally punch her in the face like that. I don't think it would have been the worst thing ever if he kept his spot on the team. But being kicked off was a perfectly fine result as well. Might not have been easy for him, but he REALLY should have walked away from that whole thing.

I agree. I'm glad we can view both sides of the argument.

It's common in crowded bars but most people are decent enough to brush it off with a my bad or my fault and just go about their business. Obviously these 2 were not. I see the girl as the instigator of the incident but you can't strike females like that. Both are to blame for this incident, but sucks he had the most to lose and is paying for it. Ray Rice incident has brought this to forefront and harsh penalties will be handed down all over.

What on earth are you talking about?

She never "bops him straight on the face". He grabs here first and she tosses a weak punch with her off hand to get him off her.
