My dad and three buddies went...left the 12 yr old (me) with mom and granny-gramps in Crowley. Laid in bed listening intently to the sound periodically interrupted by that time's inherent "static". Then it happened just as you hear it now on the replays, but somewhat clearer (at least my recollection). The 12 yr old (me) bounded from the bed busting lip on the door casing, ripping forearm open on the hinge-pin, finally landing facedown on floor. Medical treatment was wet towel 'til goal line stand at end of game, then to hospital for stitches. The forearm scar remains as a badge of glory!

At 68 remember it like yesterday! Dad brought the program home and I later had Cannon & Robinson sign it during their statewide tour stopping at my hometown. 'twas my 4th yr listening to LSU radio.
