re: Anyone here at the 1959 Halloween game?

Wasn't born till 1961 so was not there but both my Mom and DAd were there and at that time they were huge Ole Miss fans being born in Mississippi and living in BAton Rouge at that time. My Mom's Dad , My Grandpa was a big Ole Miss fan and loved Jake Gibbs. When Billy Cannon made the great runback, mY mom was really concerned about my Grandpa's health and called him after getting back home and he replied to my Mom , "Oh Darling it's just a ball game. " Wish I could take it like that. My Dad still says, its the greatest run he ever saw and needless to say both my Mom and Dad because of my love for LSU became huge LSU Tiger fans and have been so to this day.
