No, of course not but if he built a proprietary database for the Cardinals while in their employ and used the software/database when he moved to Houston that could be open to litigation depending on his employment contract with the Cardinals.
"Hacking to see if it was true" was and is idiotic and isnt an acceptable defense to me. If someone in the organization felt this was possibly the case then you take it up the chain and use proper channels to find the truth.
I'm glad he has been fired personally.
