Just cause its deep doesn't mean thats where they are at. The must (usually) need to be by some structure or cover by creek channels, ditches, drains, humps, ridges. Unless is a giant grass bed but that probably wouldnt grow in more than 15ft of water depending on water clarity.
I'd definitely idle around with some electronics or if you can get a topo map that would work too. Find some of these spots.
Dropshot is killer if you find them. I would use a C-rig to find them or a large crankbait, but you need to find structure first.
You can try some topwater early morning or late evening depending on what the banks looks like.
