Correct on the towing. The Tacoma can haul 6500 lbs. The redesigned '16 will probably tow at least 7000. For the urban cowboy, which most of us are, that is all we will ever need. $50k on a V8 that gets 12-15 mpgs is a bit excessive.

My f150 averaged almost 18mpg with the 5.0 V8. And also didn't cost anywhere near $50k.
