No, my entire argument isnt just skating. Its just the most glaring and obvious one.

Its not surprising that many people, especially southerners haven't the faintest clue. I played baseball, football, hockey and soccer growing up through HS and a little lacrosse. Played at a very high level in hockey.
There is no question that it takes much more athleticism to play hockey than it does to play the other three sports I played. It wasnt even close. i admit that I dont know what basketball would have been like comparatively.

Actually you're missing the point. Your entire argument for hockey requiring the most athleticism is because ice skating is hard and not something that everyone learns naturally.
All of those things you quoted require learning a certain physical motor skill that isn't naturally acquired before learning the actual skills of the sport, just like hockey.
Your pointless diatribe about southerners not knowing hockey further proves you're missing the point.
