The wife and i hiked it this spring. Nice little place. All i could think off the entire time was the amount of deer in the area. Ticks were everywhere. I had a hand full on me and my dog and about 20

I do find if it starts to warm up around February that it is the best time to go. One time we had a large group with us. Some people insisted on getting off the creek and doing the primitive trail. 4 miles in half of them are about to pass out. I thought we were gonna have to call in. Because you know once you get on that primitive trail you aren't cutting through the woods to get off. Thankfully it worked out. This thread makes me wanna go back.
