529, less than $100 per month per kid. It's mostly to satisfy my wife; I don't think the tax benefits of the 529 outweigh the costs of having the money tied up. At the same time I don't feel strongly enough about it to start a fight

$300/month for our two year old's 529 plan. We currently have around $22,000 in it. I'll make large contributions a few times a year.

Set up your plan by yourself or with the help of a trusted financial adviser. Don't let an adviser set it up your savings plan because they'll take a percentage of every deposit and there are upfront costs.
