Smoke
2002 - Super Regional
2003 - CWS
2004 - CWS
2005 - Regional
2006 - No tourney

Paul
2011 - No tourney
2012 - Super Regional
2013 - CWS
2014 - Regional
2015 - CWS

Seems a fair comparison to me. But don't let facts get in your way.

LSU fell apart under smoke, it's easy to look at post season success of smoke and some how thing he is similar to CPM. But if you lived through Smoke, and Paul it is very clear who is the better coach. Smoke took a team who won a championship in 2000 and in 6 years he missed the post season. Paul took a team who missed the post season for 2 straight seasons and won a national championship in 3 seasons. LSU is on an upwards trend since 2011.

Not just last six years. LSU has only won games at the CWS in 2009 since the 2000 season.

2003 and 2004 along with 2013 were all 2 and BBQ!

Don't let a national championship or the fact that Smoke inherited and destroyed college baseball's preeminent program get in your way.

How peculiar that you left off the first 4 years of Paul's tenure. I wonder why.

Do you also want to compare conference championships, or do you want to continue to data mine to accompany your terrible understanding of trends?

PM's conference record (over 9 seasons):
SEC: 2009, 2012, 2015
SEC Tournament: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014

Smoke's (over 5 seasons):
2003 SEC Championship

As a bonus, here are the conference championships and tournaments he has won at UNF since 2011:
