Right.
Too many people think the manual is written to sell cars, and it isn't. If it says use conventional oil, use conventional. If it says use synthetic and change it every 15k miles, do that. If it says use low ash cj-4 only, then only use that.
There's a lot of overthinking here. Read the instructions and follow them. Save your brain for other stuff.

A lot of over spending, I never understood why the average truck driving Joe spends more for synthetic. One of the main benefits is extending your oil life, if you are going to change it every 3-5k miles conventional oil works great...
