If you are going to be working in Seattle proper then Lynnwood is not a good spot unless you like to spend your time in traffic.
I worked in Seattle but I am married with kids so I lived in the burbs on the East Side.
I lived there for 3 years and found it quite enjoyable.
It doesn't rain that much its just gray and misty most of the time.
The winter is long and the days are really short.
The summers are fantastic with mild temperatures and long days.
If you like the outdoors there is an unlimited supply of activities.
Craft brew heaven. Don't knock it until you try it.
Great food.
Plenty of good looking girls.
I have lived in a lot a places and I will never live in a more beautiful place that when we were in Seattle. Our neighborhood was on a plateau nestled between snow capped mountains.
Its clean and the people are pleasant.
Lots of liberals.
The "Seattle Freeze" is real look it up.
Its far. Its a 5 hour plane ride to Dallas and for me a lay over and another hour flight to Baton Rouge to visit family.
