Solid advice. If possible, have your parents or in-laws watch the baby at your house. (Presumably) already childproofed, and baby is more familiar with surroundings and more likely to sleep/be happy. Bonus, if you return at some godawful hour of the night you don't have to pick up the baby in the middle of the night or make a special trip to get it the next day.
