Silly tigah, the Cajuns lost to the tigahs in the regional championship game in 2013. Are you trying to say the tigahs were a crappy team in 2013?

One of only 2 teams in the country with an all freshmen weekend rotation to finish out the season.

Started the season off shaky on defense…. but since have come around. 0 errors in the 3 regional wins this weekend. Which a lot of people aren't talking about. Some think we lucked out by scoring in the last innings to beat Rice and Houston. But guess what got us to the last inning? Our stellar pitching and defense.

As a team, Cajuns hit for around .270 on the season, but the upper half of the lineup hits over .330. 56 HRs on the season. We have some pop. Still know how to bunt and manufacture runs very well, just like all Cajuns teams over the years.

The mentality of this team though is what really has turned the corner over the last few weeks. They have nothing to lose. 5 seniors and a couple of Juniors remain on this team that were 1 game away from Omaha last year, losing to Ole Miss in the Supers. The upperclassmen engrained in the young guys at the beginning of the season that they did not want it to be a "rebuilding year". They've gotten their wish. This team has overachieved.

Bottom line is, they don't know how to quit. They never feel like they are out of the fight and will not be intimidated at Alex Box. They will grind it out and make you work for a win.

Last tidbit, in the last 37 games… Cajuns are 29-8 and 9-1 in last 10 games.

Cajuns are 43-21 on the year.

I realize there will be some banter back and forth on here… but just thought I'd give an honest analysis of what our team is this season. We are not the #6 National Seed caliber we were last year, but we are gritty and determined to win.

It's gonna come down to the team's fans with the higher baseball IQ.

It always does.

Like Cajun8 said, they have some power. They're 148th in team BA. We're 3rd...for some perspective.

As long as we aren't walking people, we should be fine.

Lafayette would shortly win. I'm glad it's who is the better baseball team.

Been very proud of this team to make it this far. They are very gritty and play the right way. That being said there is an obvious talent gap between these two teams. It's going to take a insane amount of crazy breaks going the Cajuns way. I feel like LSU probably sweeps comfortably. LSU goes to Omaha and ULL overachieves its way to a pretty memorable season

Which Louisiana is that: Tech, Monroe or Lafayette?

For the rest of the Cajuns, we'll stop calling you USL erroneously when you stop referring to yourselves as UL or Louisiana erroneously.

Louisiana-Lafayette or ULL is perfectly acceptable and legal. Louisiana-Monroe has no problem calling itself ULM. Why do you guys have so much trouble with it?

Well, they're actually ULL. You might want to get their name right if you're going to start a thread about them. Just a tip
