Going on vacation to Mexico, anyone know a way to stream music on the cheap?

I am making some playlists for the beach on Spotify but I don't want to pay any outrageous international roaming charges or anything. If I make the playlist and then save the songs locally on my iphone can I stream them without using LTE or any data? Any advice is appreciated.

You won't be using data if the songs are saved to your phone. All you need is a little portable bluetooth speaker like the one pictured
....or headphones.

some resorts will have wifi outside that might extend to the beach area. put your phone on airplane mode and turn on wifi.

Yes. Make the playlist, then check the "Available Offline" toggle right underneath the shuffle play button.
I think you have to be on a wifi connection for it to download the songs. When the songs are downloaded and locally available, they'll have a little green download icon underneath the song title and next to the artist.
I do this all the time when I'm flying, so I have music to listen to on the plane.
