Car Buying Help - Used car pricing at dealership

In the market for a 2014 vehicle with low miles. Is KBB or NADA (or something similar) a good guide for used car pricing from a dealer? Trying to get a reasonable baseline for negotiating off of the dealer asking price.
TIA
TIA

Just take the sticker price, don't be a jackass about it

I actually had just finished reading the entire thread from Will Cover. Mostly deals with new car purchases.
Thanks though.

How much are they asking?

It's what I'd call the base model (which actually comes with leather/sunroof/heated seats/etc.....no navigation or premium tires) with 10K miles.....a 2014. Asking 38K

It works for all car purchases at dealerships.

What price are you looking at in these guides?
Retail? Private party? Trade?

Go on truecar.com
Most likely the used car you're looking at was bought at auction for $5-10k under anything listed as the "asking price".

6-8k is a typical markup at that price point. You can generally shoot for 50% and close the deal quick.
18-22k 5-6k is usually the markup...
This was the deal as of about 1.5 years ago. May have changed a little bit
Edit: what you can do is price the car out at trade in value and see what come up as an idea of trade value...then take a few grand off that to get a figure around where the dealer put it.
